Terms &Conditions

Venue & Covid-19 :

We firstly want to assure our students that we are taking great care to enforce safe measures for each class & workshop to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  The venue is fumigated between visits and the whole area is cleaned with antibacterial products before and after each visit.  We will only be allowing 15 maximum into the venue that normally holds 50, to ensure space and therefore reassurance during classes.  There are four separate toilets and we will be asking that all students take great care to wash their hands regularly, keep their masks on where possible, especially when moving around the venue, and to keep distance from other students as much as is possible.  We want the class to be enjoyable so any concerns can be relayed to info@thesinclairgallery.com with complete discretion.  We will also have gloves and masks available for use as well as hand sanitisers.  The venue benefits from large windows and doors all round as well as a decking area to the rear for smokers or to get some air.

Suitability :

Workshops are designed to be suitable for both beginners and intermediates, the tuition is there to help you make progress and gain an understanding of the particular subject being taught.

Marketing Permissions :

We will be taking photos of the class/workshop and they may be used for marketing purposes including – but not limited to – website, adverts, media, print, social media and other marketing methods.  If you do not wish to be included in any photos from the class or do not want to give your consent for any images to be used for marketing purposes, please let us know as soon as possible before classes start.

Materials :

Check the individual class or workshop to see if materials are provided but generally, evening and Saturday classes usually have materials provided but workshops for longer periods require materials to be provided by you.

Booking Terms & Payments :

Terms and Conditions for workshops 2021

Please be aware of our cancellation policy. All 2021 workshops require a £100 non-refundable deposit.  The workshop must then be paid in full 12 weeks before the start date of the workshop. After the 12 week period, we are not able to offer a refund.  Please note, this is non-negotiable as the costs incurred in setting up the course have to be secured in advance, and your place will be secured for you.  If however the workshop or class cancels by order of the government guidelines for reasons relating to Covid-19 all monies will be refunded in full or you will have the option to re-schedule.

When you pay for the workshop we will email you an invoice.

One day workshops will require payment in full on booking.

All bookings are subject to a place being available in the classes/workshops and will not be confirmed until payment of either deposit or full balance.

  1. We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule classes and workshops if we have not achieved the desired minimum or for other reasons that will affect the proper running of the class/workshop.  In this instance a full refund will be made.

  2. Paint classes/workshops can result in paint getting on clothes so please dress accordingly.

  3. You will be leaving our workshops on the final day with the possibility of your painting being wet so please prepare for this and plan how you will get your painting home.  Perhaps an extra canvas that can be backed onto the wet canvas, for example.

  4. You are welcome to take photos of your work during classes and workshops, but not of the model in either portraiture or life classes/workshops unless you have permission from the model.  This also applies to other students’ work.

By booking one of our classes/workshops you are accepting these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
